For our Client, global manufacturing company we are currently looking for:
Global MES Project Engineer
Role Summary
Manage and lead the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System. Provide hard-hitting leadership and project management that delivers timely direction, guidance, interface between company and MES solution supplier.
MES engineering is a cross-functional discipline that requires proportional knowledge in hardware and software development and their applications. Background in IT, MES, PLC’s.
Responsibilities:
Administrate the Manufacturing Execution System based on Wonderware/other solutions
Apply the integration of new production steps or machines master data in MES or other supporting production industrial software application
Administrate and monitor performance, troubleshooting, problem solution, development and change management of MES application and communication to external system (SAP, PLC, SCADA etc.)
Serve as a contact point for PLC experts and SAP coordinators
Conducting topics from the technical and organizational side, from defining the scope to the final completion criterion
Take part in creation of specifications and instructions in its area of expertise
Support the integration of production equipment for IT and engineering topics (MES, CMMS, SAP interface master data administration)
Support the performance monitoring of equipment to identify room for progress (Key performance indicators – OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Response time etc.) on MES application level
Preparing and conducting training for new and current MES users
Working on breakdowns risk mitigation plan (identification & implementation) with IT/OT and automation departments.
Requirements:
At least 5 years work experience in engineering or IT departments
At least 5 years experience with MES/traceability/SCADA systems implementation
Experience in leading IT/engineering projects in uncertain and complex dependencies
Experience with Wonderware or other MES software packages
Degree in engineering, automation or IT
Experience in new project launches in engineering/IT area, (UX/UI certification will be an asset)
Knowledge of databases management in MS SQL/Oracle
Experience of C# and Python programing environment
Familiarity with industry standards, such as ANSI/ISA-95 and ANSI/ISA-88
Fluent communication in English
Willingness to travel (short trips up to 20 - 30%)
Basic knowledge of PLC programming software environment (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
